A Letter from the President:
TCBA members, the end of the 2012 year is rapidly approaching and we on the board have hit our stride with many items still on the burner.
First of all, we are putting in place the annual Banker of the Year nomination form, which will be ready to distribute at the next members luncheon sometime in mid-September, but also look for it on the web-site soon! Our BOY is always recognized at the December luncheon, but it is not too early to begin giving thought as to potential candidates.
Secondly, don’t forget to get your bank involved it the TCBA upcoming golf tourney, Cee Yeager has done an outstanding job this year and figures are pointing to a larger and more lucrative tourney for the TCBA, please make sure your bank is engaged!
I am currently working with the Mayor’s office (Mayor Price) as we are discussing an engagement with the Fort Worth ISD, and a joint venture with her office and the Fort Worth Chamber regarding a “Banker’s Spotlight” on business. Additionally, the TCBA is considering submitting a “white paper” at the request of Senator Lucio regarding a Texas state wide affordable housing program. Stay tuned for more upcoming announcements.
